Lady Lane Park School and Nursery is seeking an enthusiastic, caring and dependable Early Years Practitioner to join our dedicated team at our ‘Excellent’ rated independent school in Bingley.

Working with children aged 2–4 years, you will play a key role in supporting our youngest learners as they begin their educational journey. Through engaging activities, creative play and thoughtful guidance, you will help children develop socially, emotionally and cognitively within a nurturing and stimulating environment.

About the Role

Contract type: Full-time, permanent, all year round

Working hours: On shifts from Monday – Friday either between 7:30am – 4:30pm or 9:00am – 6:00pm.

Salary: £26000 per annum

Start date: Immediate start available

Your main responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting the learning and development of children aged 2–4 years through engaging activities and structured play.
  • Creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where children feel confident to explore and learn.
  • Planning and delivering age-appropriate learning experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Encouraging children’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical development.
  • Observing and recording children’s progress and supporting their individual learning journeys.
  • Building strong, positive relationships with children, parents and carers.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a positive and inclusive nursery environment.
  • Supporting the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

About You: We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds, or is willing to work towards, a Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare.
  • Has previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting.
  • Has a genuine passion for early childhood education and child development.
  • Is creative, enthusiastic and able to turn everyday moments into engaging learning opportunities.
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Is caring, patient and able to build strong relationships with young children.
  • Works well as part of a team and contributes positively to the school community.
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
