We are seeking a reliable, proactive and skilled Site Supervisor to join our team at our ‘Excellent’ independent school in Bingley.

About the Role

Contract Type: Full Time, All Year

Working Pattern: Mon to Fri, 7am to 4pm

Salary: Based on experience

Start Date: April 2026

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Opening and securing the school premises each day.
  • Ensuring the school site is safe, clean and well maintained.
  • Carrying out basic repairs and general maintenance tasks across the school.
  • Monitoring health and safety across the school site and reporting any concerns.
  • Managing contractors and overseeing site works when required.
  • Conducting regular safety, maintenance and equipment checks.
  • Maintaining heating, lighting and security systems.
  • Supporting fire safety procedures, alarm testing and emergency drills.
  • Managing deliveries and site access throughout the day.
  • Assisting with room set-up for school events, meetings and activities.

About You: We are looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience in a caretaking, site management or facilities role.
  • Has strong practical maintenance and DIY skills.
  • Has knowledge of health and safety procedures and regulations.
  • Is able to work independently and use initiative.
  • Is reliable, trustworthy and highly organised.
  • Has good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Can prioritise tasks and respond effectively to urgent situations.
  • Is physically fit and able to carry out manual duties.
  • Is willing to drive our minibus with appropriate training
  • Has a flexible approach to working hours when required.
  • Has basic IT skills for reporting and communication.
  • Is willing to undertake relevant training such as health and safety, safeguarding or first aid.
