We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic Crèche Assistant to join our ‘Excellent’ school in Bingley and support our busy Before and After School Club.

About the Role

Contract Type: Part Time, Term Time

Working Pattern: Mon to Fri, (Before School Club and/or After School Club hours available)

Salary: £ 12.21 per hour

Start Date: Jan 2026

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Crèche Supervisor in preparing engaging and age-appropriate activities for children.
  • Assisting with preparing snacks and ensuring dietary needs are met.
  • Supervising and supporting children during Before and/or After School Club sessions to ensure their safety, wellbeing and enjoyment.
  • Helping to create a warm, nurturing environment where children feel happy and supported.
  • Assisting with the setting up and tidying away of activities and resources.
  • Building positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
  • Following school policies, safeguarding procedures and behaviour expectations at all times.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with or caring for young children (Nursery or Primary age), ideally in a school or childcare setting.
  • Is warm, friendly, and confident in engaging with children.
  • Has good communication skills and a positive, professional approach.
  • Is reliable, organised and able to use their initiative.
  • Can work effectively as part of a small, supportive team.
  • Is committed to the vision, aims and ethos of Lady Lane Park School.
  • A relevant childcare qualification (Level 2/3) is an advantage but not essential.
