We are looking for a hard-working Kitchen Assistant to join our ‘Excellent’ school!
About the Position
Your Main Responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the Cook-In-Charge with preparation of food and beverages and cooking meals.
- Ensuring high standards of food safety and safe working practices.
- Helping and supporting the Cook-In-Charge to deliver the menu meals to the required standard when necessary.
- Supporting the Cook-In-Charge in the effective operation of the kitchen.
- Washing up, loading, and emptying the dishwasher throughout the day, including hand washing of any crockery and large cooking items.
- Helping to sanitise and set tables for lunch, including condiments and sauces.
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- Experience of working safely with food.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience of working in a busy kitchen environment.
