Pastoral Care

Developing Happy, Independent, and Confident Children

Our pastoral care and personal development are of paramount importance and involve all children and adults who participate in the daily life of the school. We place strong emphasis on the creation of a happy, supportive atmosphere, and we encourage our pupils to strive to achieve their personal, social, and academic goals.

From the lunch ladies in the dining room to the P.E. teacher on the playing field, every member of our staff knows each of our pupils. Each teacher provides daily assistance to their pupils and maintains regular communication with parents, whether through informal conversations at the end of the day, via Class Dojo, a phone call, or by leaving a note in the pupil’s homework diary.

The Importance of Pastoral Care at Lady Lane Park

We inspire our pupils to adopt a ‘can do’ approach throughout their school journeys, and we find that pastoral care plays a pivotal role in character-building. As pupils apply the personal strategies they have been encouraged to take, they become increasingly familiar with facing challenging situations with heightened confidence.
